We got busy early this morning. The boys knew that we were going to make homemade play-dough today and they just couldn't wait. That is why they are in their PJ's with their hair still a mess in the pics! We might have made it early, but that means that they can enjoy it and play with it anytime today. This Recipe is a "no-cook" one....which I love because you don't have to stand over the stove with your kids! You do use boiling water, though, so I made them stir it up with a spoon for a little bit until it cooled down. This dough is really moist and fun to play with.
Ingredients for Play-dough
1 cup flour (plus a little extra if it's still a little sticky in the end)
1 cup boiling water
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon oil
You pretty much just dump it all together and combine....kneading the dough and sprinkling a little more flour until it's not sticky anymore.
Connor loved to dig right in! They used different utensils from around the kitchen to play with their dough. They even cut it up with kid scissors! :)
Ethan said that this was a lizard thing....He propped it up on my craft flower can.
I bet you can tell whose play-dough this is?? :) Connor is never far from his little figures...especially Spider-man!
We stored the play-dough in plastic baggies and then put them in these reusable containers for added airtight-ness.
